Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick will make him Real Madrid record goalscorer

Breaking records is a specialty of Cristiano Ronaldo – and today could see him achieve his most remarkable accolade to date.
The forward now finds himself just two goals behind Raul’s haul for Real Madrid and Ronaldo could become the club’s record goalscorer when he comes up against Granada at the Bernabeu later today.
His current record of more than a goal a game for the 10-time European Cup winners is impressive, but he appears even more prolific when you compare the number of games he and Raul have each played for the great club.

The former Spain international reached his total of 323 goals in 741 appearances during his 16-year stay at the Bernabeu. In contrast, Ronaldo has netted 321 times in 304 games since arriving in the
Spanish capital back in 2009.
Even if he doesn’t surpass Raul’s total today, the 30-year-old will still break the record by playing less than half the games of the left-footed legend.
However, if the three-time Balon d’Or winner maintains his current run of form then there is every chance that he will break another record in front of a home crowd this afternoon.
Ronaldo has eight goals in his last two games, scoring five against Espanyol last weekend and bagging a hat-trick when Madrid met Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League midweek.
