Political strategist Dr. Kobby Mensah has advised the NPP Presidential
candidate Nana Akufo-Addo to immediately call off his ‘Arise and Build’
tour and rather pay attention to the wrangling in the party.
“From what has happened, I think the NPP is losing credibility. They
keep denying that nothing has happened but look at the bombshell that
has been dropped by the general secretary.
“The party is losing credibility and Akufo-Addo himself is losing
authority over the party,” the university don told Nii Arday Clegg on
Morning Starr Tuesday.
He added: “I think that they have to admit that there are deep seated
problems in the party and get some elders to address these things and
stop this ‘Arise and Build’ narratives that is taking us nowhere”.
The Elephant family is at conflict with itself as its general secretary
Kwabena Agyepong, took to the media Monday to vent his spleen on its
flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo and some party executives, alleging they are
working against him.
He revealed he was unaware of the ‘Rise and Build’ tour and only got to know of it on the internet.
Akufo-Addo, in response, has issued a stern warning to all members of
the party to desist from discussing internal matters on the media
landscape, adding such behaviour will affect the fortunes of the party
in the run-up to the 2016 elections.
