I’m not Mahama’s darling boy - Bampuori

Abdul Wahid BampuoriAn Accra-based legal practitioner, Abdul Wahid Bampuori Iddris has rejected the tag of being the president’s darling boy.

Speaking shortly to the press after he picked nomination forms to contest the NDC Wa Central parliamentary primary, he set the record straight that he has not received any endorsement from the presidency.

‘‘I don’t think if you know the president or not, it can convince somebody sitting at Limanpaalayiri and other communities in Wa to vote for you.

“What he or she is interested in is how he or she can go to toilet without any hustle; how he is going to get his next meal or where his bread will be buttered,’’ he added.

Abdul Wahid Bampuori who would be contesting sitting MP Rashid Pelpuo and Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Musheibu Mohammed Alfa among personality made an emphatic statement that his decision is not a waste of time and resources.

He is hopeful his membership with Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN), youth wing and the research department of the party will help him unseat Pelpuo.

Abdul Wahid Bampuori Bampuori Iddris is the fifth person to have picked nomination form in the Wa Central constituency.

Tamale based polytechnic lecturer, Kukurah Jamaldeen and former Upper West regional director of education, Iddrisu Mahama have all picked forms to unseat Rashid Pelpuo.
