The defensive midfielder has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the team after joining from Berekum Chelsea last season.
And despite lamenting that Kotoko was unable to defend the trophy they won last season, he reckoned that next year would be different since the team’s quality is improving.
"I think we are close; there is no doubt about it. Ashgold are champions and some people believe they had the best team this season but we beat them twice and they beat us only once in three competitive games. So using them as benchmark you still realize we are not far from being title contenders next season.
“You can even see in our performances, we outplay teams, dominate possession, and it’s just that final thing of taking our chances. As a group of players we all believe we have enough quality and l am sure that we will win back the title next season”, he added.
Kotoko will host Aduana Stars in the final match of the season at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium today.
